What You Will Need
Scrapbook (available at craft store)
Colored art paper (available at craft store)
Scissors
Favorite photos and keepsakes
Self-adhesive photo corners (available at craft store)
Colored pens

Brighten the look of your scrapbook pages with colored art paper. Plenty of pink art paper, the Barbie way. Help your daughter trim the paper to fit. Then peel back the plastic sheeting and firmly press your trimmed paper onto the page's tacky coating. Decide on the layout of each page by first arranging items without attaching them. If your daughter would like to change the size or shape of any photos, help her crop them with scissors (except for Polaroid's, which shouldn't be cut). Once she is happy with the design, affix photos to the page with adhesive photo corners. Then attach other mementos with tape or glue. With colored pens, she can write names of people in the pictures, or some special captions. Finally, for that extra festive touch, add several Barbie stickers on each page. Or have her write some Barbie quotes or some of her own favorite sayings. For a three-dimensional touch she can even add an article of Barbie's clothing. What You Will Need
Pink art paper, heavy construction paper, or wrapping paper
Scissors

How To Do It
Lay the open book on a big piece of paper. Help your daughter cut the paper so there is about two extra inches on each side.
Wrap the top and bottom margins around the book and make creases. Then remove the book and neatly fold the top and bottom, so the paper is roughly the same size as the book. (Note: Make sure not to fold in too far, or the front and back sleeves will be too narrow.)
Place closed book back in the center of the folded paper. Wrap the left side of the paper around the front of the book and make a crease. Then slide the book's front cover into the sleeve, all the way to the crease. Repeat for the back cover.
Now for the creative part. Your daughter can embellish with Barbie stickers and other decorations, plus use markers and glitter paint to write her name and special messages. Let dry completely.
Barbie Bookmarks Never use boring old bookmarks again. With just a few items from the craft store, you and your daughter can create your own pretty, personalized placeholders.

How To Do It
Help your daughter cut a piece of art paper that's approximately 1�" wide by 5" long. For an extra sturdy and stylish bookmark, back it with a matching piece of self-adhesive felt.
Attach decorations. Place any large pieces at the top end, so they won't get crushed in a book.
An option for a Barbie dress is to use it as the bookmark cover, glue it and be sure it is steady on a large popsicle stick. (Cover the popsicle stick with felt ahead of time.)
Your daughter can write her name on the bookmark with markers or paint. Let dry completely.
